How do I start?


Once you have viewed our contract pricing, join us for a FREE intro class to get a taste of CrossFit workouts and see if South Branch CrossFit might be a good fit for you. Click to schedule your free intro session.




What should I expect my first couple of weeks?


Expect to train at a very moderate pace. We want you to learn the basic mechanics of everything first, then be consistent in those mechanics, then bump up the intensity only after mastering the first 2 key points. Expect to be sore. Really sore. There is no way to get around it. This is normal, and proof that you are working hard breaking down muscle fibers during your workout. It is during your rest periods between classes that your muscles will build up even stronger. Whatever you do, don’t stop training just cause you are sore. It is good to come back and take the next workout light if you need to.




I heard CrossFit is a cult, is it?


No, if you have to call it something, call it a tribe. Cults tend to follow blindly to a leader, tribes work together to the group’s benefit. We do tend to be passionate about what we do though because it works so well and so potently for seemingly all body types and walks of life. What makes us different from the normal corporate chain, or “globo”, gym experience is that we develop a community spirit based on encouraging each other to succeed. We support and push each other in our efforts to achieve our goals.

I’m just visiting York, PA but I’ve been CrossFitting for so long that I kip in my sleep. Can I please come to a group class?


We welcome CrossFitters from all over the world. Please bring us a shirt from your CrossFit box (men's size large preferred). No shirt to donate? Come on by anyway and join us for a small drop in fee. Register for a class time.




Is CrossFit right for me?


CrossFit can be for everyone – businessmen, moms, seniors, elite athletes – you name it! It does not matter what your current fitness level is; increased cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, accuracy, agility, and balance are each important to the world’s best athletes and to you. When are classes?


Classes are Monday through Friday at 6am, 7am, 4:30pm and 5:30pm and on Saturdays at 9am. Book your FREE Intro Class now.
